Slayville II uses mcMMO to add long-term skill progression to normal Minecraft gameplay.
Unlike Jobs, which focus on earning money and Job XP, mcMMO tracks your experience in specific activities and rewards you for continuing to use those skills over time.
The more you perform an activity, the more that related skill can improve.
What Is mcMMO?
mcMMO adds RPG-style progression to Minecraft without replacing the normal survival experience.
As you mine, fight, gather resources, fish, and perform other activities, you can earn experience in related mcMMO skills.
Higher skill levels can unlock or improve:
- Passive bonuses
- Special abilities
- Gathering efficiency
- Combat effectiveness
- Resource bonuses
- Other skill-specific perks
Your mcMMO progression stays with your player and continues to grow as you play.
Jobs vs. mcMMO
Jobs and mcMMO are separate progression systems.
Jobs
Jobs are primarily focused on:
- Money
- Job XP
- Job levels
- Economy progression
mcMMO
mcMMO is focused on:
- Skill XP
- Skill levels
- Passive abilities
- Active abilities
- Long-term character progression
The two systems often work together.
For example, while mining you may earn:
- Job income
- Job XP
- Mining skill XP
- Valuable resources
- Items to sell or use
This means one activity can contribute to several forms of progression at the same time.
Common Skill Categories
mcMMO includes skills tied to many familiar Minecraft activities.
Depending on the activity, you may improve skills related to:
- Mining
- Woodcutting
- Excavation
- Fishing
- Farming and herbalism
- Swords
- Axes
- Archery
- Unarmed combat
- Taming
- Repair and related equipment skills
Each skill progresses independently.
A player who spends most of their time mining may have a very high Mining level while having much lower combat or gathering skills.
Gathering Skills
Gathering skills improve through resource collection.
Examples include:
Mining
Progress by mining blocks and ores.
Mining-related abilities may improve your efficiency and provide additional benefits while gathering underground resources.
Woodcutting
Progress by cutting trees and gathering logs.
Players who collect large amounts of wood for building or shops can naturally increase this skill over time.
Excavation
Progress through digging materials such as dirt, sand, gravel, and similar blocks.
This can be especially useful for players who gather large amounts of terrain materials.
Herbalism
Progress through farming and harvesting plant-based resources.
Players who operate farms may naturally build Herbalism progression while also earning rewards from Jobs or selling crops.
Combat Skills
Combat skills improve while fighting mobs and using different weapon types.
Depending on your preferred combat style, you may progress skills related to:
- Swords
- Axes
- Archery
- Unarmed combat
- Taming
Players who regularly hunt mobs, explore dangerous areas, or complete combat quests may build these skills naturally.
Fishing
Fishing also has mcMMO progression.
Fishing can become especially rewarding on Slayville II because it may contribute to several systems at once:
- mcMMO Fishing
- Fisherman Job progression
- Custom fishing progression
- Rare catches
- Collectible fish
- Economy income
Players who enjoy fishing can therefore make progress across multiple systems with the same activity.
Skill Levels
Each mcMMO skill has its own level.
As you gain experience in a skill, that level increases independently from your:
- Slayville II rank
- Job level
- Minecraft XP level
These systems do not replace each other.
They provide different types of progression and rewards.
Active & Passive Abilities
Some mcMMO skills include special abilities.
These generally fall into two categories:
Passive Abilities
Passive abilities work automatically as your skill improves.
They may provide benefits such as increased efficiency, additional drops, or improved effectiveness.
Active Abilities
Some skills also include abilities that can be activated during gameplay.
These abilities may temporarily improve gathering or combat performance.
Their effectiveness can increase as your skill level grows.
Progress Naturally
You do not need to grind mcMMO skills unless you want to.
Most skills increase naturally while playing Minecraft.
If you enjoy mining, your Mining skill will grow.
If you spend your time farming, related gathering skills will improve.
If you prefer combat, your weapon skills will progress.
The system is designed to reward the activities you already enjoy.
Combining Skills With Jobs
One of the best ways to make progress on Slayville II is to choose Jobs that complement the activities you already use for mcMMO.
For example:
Mining
You may simultaneously:
- Earn Job money
- Earn Job XP
- Increase Mining skill
- Gather resources
- Find items to sell
Farming
You may:
- Earn Job rewards
- Increase gathering-related skills
- Produce food and crops
- Supply Player Shops
Combat
You may:
- Earn combat-related Job rewards
- Increase weapon skills
- Gather mob drops
- Complete quests
This makes normal gameplay useful across multiple server systems.
Long-Term Skill Progression
mcMMO is intended to reward players who continue playing over time.
Your skill levels become a record of the activities you have spent the most time doing on Slayville II.
Whether you become a master miner, skilled fighter, dedicated fisherman, experienced farmer, or a little bit of everything, mcMMO gives your everyday survival gameplay an additional layer of progression.
