Jobs & Skills Overview

Slayville II includes several progression systems that reward players for simply playing the game.

Two of the most important are Jobs and Skills.

Jobs allow you to earn money, Job XP, and progression rewards while completing normal survival activities. Skills reward long-term experience in activities such as mining, fishing, combat, gathering, and other gameplay.

Together, these systems give players additional goals beyond normal Minecraft progression.

Jobs

Jobs allow players to earn rewards while doing activities they already enjoy.

Depending on the job you choose, you may earn money and Job XP by performing tasks such as:

  • Mining
  • Farming
  • Fishing
  • Building
  • Hunting mobs
  • Gathering resources
  • Other survival activities

Use:

to access the Jobs system.

Jobs are one of the most consistent ways to earn money while progressing naturally through the server.

Choosing a Job

Different Jobs reward different activities.

If you spend most of your time mining, a mining-related Job may be a good choice.

If you prefer farming, fishing, building, or combat, you may want to select a Job that matches those activities.

Choosing a Job that fits how you normally play makes progression easier and more enjoyable.

Job Progression

As you perform activities related to your Job, you can earn:

  • Money
  • Job XP
  • Job levels
  • Additional progression rewards

Higher Job levels represent experience and time spent working in that profession.

Some Jobs may become more rewarding as you progress.

Changing Jobs

Choose your Jobs carefully.

Leaving or changing a Job may result in a loss of 30% of your Job XP.

Because of this, it is usually better to spend some time deciding which Jobs fit your playstyle before switching frequently.

Skills

Slayville II also includes a separate skill progression system.

Skills improve as you perform different Minecraft activities over time.

Depending on the skill, progression may come from actions such as:

  • Mining blocks
  • Cutting wood
  • Fishing
  • Farming
  • Fighting mobs
  • Using weapons
  • Gathering resources

Skills are separate from Jobs.

A Job may pay you for an activity, while the Skill system tracks your long-term experience performing that activity.

This means the same activity can contribute to multiple forms of progression at the same time.

Jobs + Skills

One of the best ways to progress efficiently is to combine systems.

For example, while mining you may simultaneously:

  • Gather resources
  • Earn Job income
  • Earn Job XP
  • Increase mining-related Skills
  • Find items to sell
  • Gather materials for your own projects

Fishing may similarly provide:

  • Fishing Job income
  • Job XP
  • Fishing skill progression
  • Custom fish
  • Rare catches
  • Items to sell or collect

Slayville II is designed so that many activities contribute to several progression systems at once.

Play Your Way

You do not need to choose Jobs or Skills based only on what earns the most money.

The best choices are usually the ones that match what you enjoy doing.

Whether you spend your time mining, farming, fishing, building, exploring, or fighting mobs, Slayville II provides ways to turn that activity into meaningful progression.
